   Hi!  thanks for this great lean program!  There is just one small problem that keeps me using xfce4-terminal.  For some reason evilvte shows console gray (1;30) as black (30m).  You can test with the script code at the bottom of this page: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Bash-Prompt-HOWTO/x329.html

I knew this issue but did not fix it because nobody requested it. :-P
It is in fact a bug of libvte, a strange default color scheme.
Terminal emulators can set their own colors to override libvte's default color.
I will fix it in next release. :-)

Great, thank you!  I did some digging and found, as you say, that it is a bug with vte.  Most terminals work around it but you'd think vte would have a fix after all this time.  Look forward to making the switch to evilvte :)
